For us, this sculpture is a reminder of the many thoughts, decisions, and experiences had in any given day. While it is too much to live in a state of complete awareness, it is nice to sometimes slice time into little moments to appreciate the small things. Further, the striations in the design are reminiscent of the corrugated water tank or tower that could have been seen in the Coppell farmlands historically – and is seen today in Old Town. The hourglass-shaped sculpture is comprised of stainless steel bands that segment the passing of time.
